In Conversation @ Royal Hospital Chelsea
Surgery on the Front Line: David Nott
For more than 25 years, David Nott has taken unpaid leave from his job as a general and vascular surgeon with the NHS, driven by a desire to help others and the thrill of extreme personal danger.
He has volunteered in war zones from Afghanistan, Iraq, and Yemen, to Libya, Gaza and Syria, and helped in the aftermath of natural disasters, such as the earthquakes in Haiti and Nepal.
Now widely acknowledged to be the most experienced trauma surgeon in the world, Nott has been sharing his knowledge and training other doctors to save lives threatened by bombs and bullets.
Don’t miss Nott in conversation with award-winning photographer Kate Holt, as he talks about his life and work, and shares revelations from his recent book War Doctor.
The evening will begin with a complimentary glass of wine, soft drink or water in the spectacular Great Hall. Doors open at 7pm.
This event is followed by a book signing with the author.
