Bletchley Park

Bletchley Park was the home of British codebreaking during the Second World War, a place where technological innovation and human endeavour came together to make ground-breaking achievements that have helped shape the world we live in today.

In this exclusive collaboration between the National Army Museum and Bletchley Park, the history of the organisation will be brought to life through stories and personal recollections.

The evening opens with an introductory talk from research historian Dr David Kenyon as he brings to life the world of Bletchley Park, describing the vital contribution the secret organisation made to Allied victory.

A panel of experts, including Dr Helen Fry, Karl Thompson and Dr David Abrutat, will then explore the role intelligence played in the changing course of the Second World War.

6.00pm – Doors open to public
6.30pm – Introduction and half-hour talk from David Kenyon on the history of Bletchley Park in the context of wider intelligence
7.00pm – Panel discussion: ‘How did Intelligence change the course of the Second World War?’

A copy of David Kenyon’s book Bletchley Park and D-Day can be purchased as part of a book and ticket offer for this event. Alternatively, copies will be available for purchase at the National Army Museum on the day of the event or via a link on the virtual event page.
